Oliver worked his way to the starting line up of Puddlemere United in two short years. He was living a dream, until Voldemort started up his
activities. Quidditch matches were not safe, and thus the 1997/98 and 1998/99 seasons were scaled back with no playoffs or official score keeping. (Quidditch references may be subject to change.)
He married his, Hogwarts sweetheart - Patricia Stimpson (same year as Fred and George) in the fall of 1996. It was a shot-wand wedding as she was sprogged up. Their son, Hamish Stimpson Wood was born April 20, 1997. Life wasn't easy with the war, rushed marriage and a baby but they made it work.
November 11, 1998 Patricia, a Muggleborn, was killed by Death Eaters; leaving a devastated Oliver to raise their small child alone.
